POSITION TITLE: Safety and Security Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and Superintendent

 

JOB SUMMARY: The Safety and Security Coordinator is responsible for managing, supervising, directing, and evaluating all safety, security, and emergency management activities within the District as well as overseeing the District’s transportation contracted service provider.

SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises the District’s contracted school resource officers and the District’s transportation contracted service partner.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this position, the individual is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, and hear, and walk throughout the day. The employee may need to speak and hear in an environment where numerous conversations and activities may be taking place simultaneously. The employee may need to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision for reading handwritten or typed materials, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Additionally, the position may involve regular travel within the District.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

EVALUATION:

Performance will be evaluated annually according to Board policy and established District standards.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 

Contract terms covering compensation, benefits, and working conditions are specified by the Board of Education’s policies, agreements, salary schedules and approvals.  This is an exempt, 260 day position.
